Privacy Policy

Synergy Products Inc. ("we", "us", "our") is a British Columbia company. We handle personal information in line with British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where it applies, the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). This policy explains what we collect, why, who helps us process it, and how to reach us about it.

Information we collect

  • Contact details: name, email address, phone number, mailing address.
  • Business details: company name, job title, industry.
  • What you tell us: the message, product interest or service request you send through a form, by email or by phone.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type and pages requested, which our hosting and security providers log when you visit the site.

How we use it

  • To answer your enquiry and prepare quotes.
  • To process orders, arrange setup and training, and provide technical support and warranty service.
  • To send product or service updates, only where you have agreed to receive them. You can opt out at any time.
  • To keep the website secure and working properly.

We do not sell or rent personal information.

Service providers we use

Like most businesses, we rely on outside providers to run our website and handle enquiries. They process information on our behalf and only for these purposes:

  • Form submissions. When you submit a form on this site, the details are sent to us by email (with an automatic confirmation to you) and stored with a cloud database provider that we use to manage customer enquiries.
  • Cloudflare delivers and protects this website. It processes technical data such as IP addresses to route traffic and block attacks, and may produce aggregated traffic statistics.
  • Google Maps. Our contact page shows embedded Google maps. When a map loads, your browser connects to Google, which receives technical data under Google's own privacy policy.
  • Web hosting and email. Our site host and email providers store and transmit the messages you send us.

Some of these providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States. While it is there, it may be subject to the laws of that country, including lawful access by its authorities.

We may also share information with the manufacturer of your equipment (for example Epilog Laser, Kern Laser Systems or Tykma Electrox) when that is needed to register a warranty, provide technical support or fulfil an order for you.

Keeping it safe

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information against loss and unauthorized access. We keep it only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires.

Cookies

This site does not use advertising cookies. Our providers may set cookies or similar technologies that are needed for security and basic functionality, and Google may set cookies when an embedded map loads. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to its use (subject to legal or contractual limits). We will respond within the time the law allows. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
