In Canada, an engraved plastic label is usually called a lamacoid. Electrical panel labels, equipment nameplates, valve tags and asset tags are all made the same way: a laser or rotary engraver cuts through a thin cap layer to show a contrasting core.
Rowmark sheet is made for exactly this. The colour and thickness stay consistent from sheet to sheet, so the marks come out the same on the hundredth label as on the first. No paint or fill needed.
